Song premiere: Mounika release lo-fi single “20”

Multifaceted musician, composer, and producer Mounika is set to release a brand new record, Don’t Look At Me (Part. 1), on May 12th but first, he shares a new single, “20’.

The new single is a Smoot, lo-fi track with delicate melodies perfect to kickstart your day on a chill note. “I wanted to create a familiar sense of nostalgia that emerges from the stacking of drum beats and reverberated voices,” shared Mounika, “the feeling of being wrapped up in the same atmosphere that I presented on my previous songs, on “Tender Love” or “Cut My Hair”. The nonchalance of the first seconds was however misleading, there is indeed something new, a vocal signature, hoarse and raspy, to come and break our certainties, by revealing one”.

Mounika collaborates with an acclaimed Berlin artist Joe Taylor to create a visual narrative for the upcoming album and we get a preview of it with “20” today. See it here first:
