Today Estonian alt-pop singer-songwriter NOËP (aka Andres Kõpper) is reading a new single “Kids” featuring British singer Emily Roberts and we are here to share it with you first.
Despite the gentle title the song doubles in a few serious matters, the track is “inspired by environmental concerns and how we grown-ups are just big toddlers who can’t see past the well-being of our own noses” Kõpper shared. “The concept for the music video just kind of popped in my head,” he continued, “I think the reason for this was that I had a really clear message that I wanted to deliver with the music video… It was a one-day shoot and I’m still amazed we managed to pull that off because it was a tight schedule. Luckily I had a great team and wonderful extras/actors which made it feel like a breeze”.
NOËP might not yet be a name you are well familiar with here in North America but in his home country, NOËP is a big deal and has already secured the Pop Album of the Year title at the Estonian Music Awards in 2019, for his debut EP Heads In The Clouds, in addition to airplay on BBC Radio 1 and the impressive 23 million streams on Spotify. NOËP is also well known for his charismatic and emotive live performances which we hope to be able to witness firsthand soon.
The track is a teaser from an upcoming album No Man Is An Island set to release on November 26th via Humming Records / Warner Music Baltics. See it here first:
