Lee Burridge and All Day I Dream mainstays land in Toronto
Lee Burridge’s music festival All Day I Dream returned to Toronto for another edition of dancing in the sun at the historic Fort York. With only a few stops left on tour, most of which are in Ibiza All Day I Dream (ADID) making a mark across the globe one festival stop at a time.
In true Toronto nature, the event was off to a slow start and once again began with a group yoga session. With the laid-back fitness intro behind us, the festival grounds started to slowly fill with concert-goers, most of whom were desperately seeking shade under a single tree canopy.
Kian took the opening hour welcoming attendees with a steady stream of beats. The overall vibes of the festival are reminiscent of a backyard house party. The pace picked up rapidly when Matthew Dekay stepped out on stage. Framed by the colourful touring ADID stage with a cheerful canopy creating much-needed shade the dance floor energy rose beat by beat with every track.
The casual atmosphere of this festival gathering is reflected on stage where all participating artists simply hung out, supporting one another throughout the individual sets. Facundo Mohrr was next and with Lee already making rounds in the background the party was on in full swing. The late attendees packed the park, lining up for drinks, and tracking down friends in the crowd.
Lee Burridge closed out the event with a fire set once again showcasing his passion for electronic music and unmatched skills behind the decks. What started as a Brooklyn party is now a staple summer event on the international music scene, setting an example for a more relaxed festival atmosphere where less is more. But if you want more, there is always an afterparty.
