DAY.MVS XL music festival will return to the San Diego Waterfront Park on August 6th and 7th for a weekend of musical festivities. Created by the same group who brought us epic events like CRSSD Festival and FNGRS CRSSD the festival will showcase some of the best electronic music acts from across the world and here are five that we are most looking forward to seeing.

Juliet Fox

Techno DJ and producer from Australia  Juliet Fox is one to watch when it comes to up-and-coming acts on the electronic music scene. Fairly fresh on the scene Juliet has been touring relentlessly across Asia pre-pandemic and most recently dropped two techno anthems in collaboration with Ramiro Lopez and most recently she shared “Radiate” with Arjun Vagale.

Illyus & Barrientos

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Illyus & Barrientos are here to set the dancefloor on fire. This is a music partnership that came out of friendship and resulted in a fun and creative collaboration. Illyus & Barrientos create raw and funky tracks that lean on percussive energy and deep hooks. The duo quickly became one of UK’s hottest DJ pairs and were even invited to record a mix for the legendary BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix series.

Charles D

US-based progressive techno DJ and producer Charles D is still riding on the high he landed on in 2019 with support and praise from the likes of Adam Beyer, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Layton Giordani, Ramon Tapia, Veerus, Bryan Kearney, Paul Thomas, and many more. Charles D is known for a hybrid of hypnotic arpeggio synth lines with dark saturated techno baselines.

Bklava

Bklava (born Lara Sweeney), is a young vocalist, DJ, and producer from South London focusing on genre-defying electronic dance music. her debut single “CNTRL“ dropped in October 2019 and was a strong start to an impressive year to follow. Most recently Bklava shared the stage with the likes of Annie Mac and Conducta, almond many others.

VNSSA

VNSSA was born into the world of music and has eventually found her way to a thriving career in LA where she is emersed in the electronic music scene. Her debut single dropped in 2018 via House of Hustle Records and was the start of many EPs and singles to come. Her releases came through notable labels like Dirtybird Records, Dim Mak, and Strangelove Recordings, just to name a few. VNSSA’s collaboration with Walker & Royce, “Word” even made it to the Beatport’s #1 spot a little while back.
