This year’s festival featured a number of bands and artists who call Chicago “home,” including punk duo, White Mystery. Comprised of brother and sister, Francis Scott Key White (drums, vocals) and Miss Alex White (guitar, vocals), the duo made the most of their half-hour performance by segueing into each of their songs without stopping; this of course made their set sound like one 30-minute song. Alex White is probably one of the most talented guitarists (man or woman, dead or alive) to pick up an axe – that alone sets White Mystery apart from other bands of the same genre. White Mystery’s sound and band makeup is what makes them a unique band with the ability to draw listeners in and make a fan out of anyone.
