Shlohmo is back with a new track “Rock music” from an upcoming album
Henry Laufer, better knowns as Shlohmo, ’is dropping a new album, The End, on March 22nd via via Friends of Friends Music / WeDidIt. The track below is the second single from the upcoming album and is the album opener made to be the “palette of discovery.” In the true nature of many experimental and innovative producers the drums were done with toy drum machines and a Mini-Korg Monotron delay, used throughout the album together with a synth sounds from Teenage Engineering’s Pocket Operators. But no worries, there is nothing childish about this song or the album, it’s a work of art, or rather “a beautiful anxious wreck,” Laufer says, “It’s a huge fucking mess and one of my favourite messes I’ve made” – deffinitly a way to set some expectations.
With the new release a few exciting things are taking place: on March 9th he will take over BBC Radio 1’s The Essential Mix’ decks for followed by a couple release parties in NYC (03.26) and LA (03.29).
Stay tune for the full release!
