Toronto-based electronic trio Ev Ree Wuhn, made up of multi-instrumentalists Alex Grant, Adrian Gagnon, and Lawson Smith,  released the debut six-track EP just a few days ago. Not to sound cliché, but everyone needs to listen to this EP.

The production is eclectic, tranquil, and quite original. With a diverse mix of sound inspiration, including glitchy hip-hop, jazz, electronic beats, and an abundance of various instrumentals, this EP allows the listener to go on a bit of a sound journey and come back feeling serene and satisfied.

The opening track, “Soon Enough,” right off the bat builds an instrumental sound cushion enveloping the minimal vocals in a careful, strategic way. The EP slowly grows into more emotional tracks with “Colours” and “Control” being reminiscent of recent Radiohead’s deep and dark sounds. Grant’s vocals are crisp and powerful purposefully dispersed in small doses throughout the EP in a way that is just enough to hold onto.

The potential for a live performance may be the most exciting part of this EP. With such original sound, they are sure to give a lasting impression.
