Today Ricky Blaze dropped a music video for “Slam!” following his release of X-Rated EP. The video, directed by Peter Dmitriyev, is staged around an authentic Jamaican0style bashment party. The song is all about Blaze’s infatuation with Diany Arias in the semi-crowded, dimly lit room.
The title of the song is a Jamaican slang word coined by no one other than Beenie Man and describes “sexual prowess of women” one of the many classic dancehall nod on the X-Rated EP. This EP, however, is not the only release Blaze worked on this year. 2018 marked collaborations with Ding Dong, Chelley, Supa Dups, Alexus Rose, Gyptian, and a reunion with Santigold on her reggae-inspired album Run the Road.
